If you do not have Dial-Up networking installed, you will first need to install
it.
Go to My Computer. In here you should see an icon called Dial-Up
Networking.

Installing Dial-Up Networking
for Windows 95
NOTE: If you are on a local area network (LAN) and install Dial-Up
Networking (DUN), you may create a conflict which interrupts your computer's
connection to your LAN. Please ask your network administrator for assistance
before installing DUN. Before you install DUN, you will need your Windows
95 CD-ROM.
From your desktop, double-click My Computer. You should
see icons for the drives on your system, Control Panel, and, if it's installed,
Dial-Up Networking.
Double-click Control Panel.
Double-click Add/Remove Programs.

Fig 10
Click the Windows Setup tab.
Place a check in the Communications component.

Fig 11
Click OK.
Windows 95 will now begin copying files from your Windows 95 CD-ROM. Insert
your CD-ROM when prompted to do so.
When Add/Remove Programs is finished copying files, you should see the
Control Panel.
Now you should restart your computer:
Click your Start button and click Shut Down.
Select Restart the computer and click Yes.
When your computer restarts, you may be asked to enter your username and
password for Windows Networking:
For username, enter your first name.
Leave the password field blank and click OK.
The next window asks you to verify your password. Leave everything blank
and click OK.
Now when you restart Windows 95 you will not be asked to enter a username
and password ever again. You will also notice a new icon on your desktop--Network Neighborhood.
Don't worry, this is just part of the networking component in Windows 95.
